Sensation created in Telugu states by ‘Brief’ politics

  • The day when a CM was caught red-handed
  • Telugu honour destroyed by Chandrababu
  • Still boasting about his sanctity on yellow media
Hyderabad: The 31st of May made a black mark in the history of the Telugu states. TDP leaders were caught handing over crores of rupees for votes. The arrogant idea of ability to buy anything with corrupt money was exposed on that day. While TDP MLA Revanth Reddy was caught on a video tape, AP CM Chandrababu Naidu was caught on an audio tape recorded in a phone call with MLA Stephenson. “Mana vaallu briefed me”, the phrase used by Chandrababu in the phone call had become notorious since then.
Exactly one year ago, this is what happened…
TDP nominated a candidate for MLC election in Telangana, in spite of not having enough power to do so. Chandrababu instructed Telangana TDP MLAs to earn the MLC seat by hook or crook. He invested crores of rupees of corrupt money earned in AP for this purpose. According to the instrcutions from ‘the boss’, MLA Revanth Reddy contacted nominated MLA Stephenson and tried to pay him crores of rupees. He was caught on a video tape, offering Rs.50 lakh as advance amount. Within some time, this video tape was telecast and Revanth Reddy was arrested. Chandrababu’s corruption mafia came into light at once.
Briefed exposure in no time
After MLA Revanth Reddy was exposed and arrested, Chandrababu’s audio tape was uncovered. The negotiations and assurances Chandrababu had done with MLA Stephenson created a sensation in Telugu states as well as throughout the country at that time. For the full account of their conversation, follow this link:
This brazen conversation done by a CM himself were telecast on the national media too.
Still the boasting continues
The decades-old corrupt practices of Chandrababu suddenly saw light with this happening a year ago. After all that has happened, he still keeps boasting about his sanctity and ethics at every chance. Chandrababu did a verbal war at that time on this issue but later settled it with Telangana CM KCR. Hence, as usual, the case saw no inquiry.

  • Inorance of Babu's Government towards promises
  • Condolence to bereaved families
Guntur: The leader of opposition and YSRCP president YS Jagan condoled the bereaved families of the victims of construction site accident that had recently happened at Pedagottipadu village of Prathipadu mandal. Babu's luxuries with public money

  • Chandrababu's stay in 5 star hotels
  • Almost Rs.5 lakh charges for the stay per month
  • Rs.92 crore expenditure already on residence
  • Same scenario in Vijayawada too
Hyderabad:CM Chandrababu's luxuries are becoming controversial by the day. Criticism is mounting against changing Park Hyatt 5 star hotel in Hyderabad as his place of stay. But Chandrababu does not seem to be bothered by it.

At the time of swearing in as the CM, Chandrababu used to live in his residence at road no. 65 ofJubilee Hills. After spending Rs.2 crore in it, he decided to arrange for himself a building with Government's expenses. So he announced demolition of his building and shifted to a rented house. As usual, Government sponsored Rs.2 crore for its construction and renovation. Then he decided to shift to a farm house in Madinaguda. Again it was time for crores of rupees to fly away. It was announced as permanent residence and offered with all amenities.

Recently it was decided to shift to Park Hyatt at the centre of Hyderabad city. Till now, we have seen CM and ministers stay in 5 star hotels for 2-3 days but this CM has changed the hotel to his camp office. It is noteworthy that this hotel stay is being funded by public money. This stay is worth Rs.30,000 a day. So on an average, Rs.5 lakh bill is made in a month, taxes and good bill on top of it.

Chandrababu's residence at the capital city of AP also has become controversial. Vijayawada camp office took Rs.42 crore expenditure till now. Hyderabad secretariat took Rs.20 crore. Chandrababu's residence at Tadepalli took Rs.10 crore. On the whole, Chandrababu's houses, camp offices and stays took Rs.92 crore of people's money till now. After having consumed so much money, Chandrababu is still uttering statements about ethics and encouraging job holders to sacrifice and save.

This is Money Mahanadu, not Mini Mahanadu

  • Special flights, 5-star hotels and Babu's luxuries
  • Misuse of public money
  • TDP leaders' robbery in the name of Mahanadu
  • Ambati Rambabu slams TDP Government
Hyderabad: Official spokesperson of YSRCP, Ambati Rambabu complained that Chandrababu had been misusing public money for his own luxuries, special flights and 5-star hotel stays, while the state suffered from financial crisis. He remarked that Chandrababu had been exploiting the trust bestowed by the people of the state on him for the development of the state post-bifurcation by ignoring the promises he had made to them. He demanded that Chandrababu immediately left the 5-star hotel in which he stayed. He spoke during the media conference arranged at the party's central office in Hyderabad.
Ambati Rambabu criticised that TDP leaders simply looted the state in the name of Mini Mahanadus. He complained that everything including sand and mud was subject of loot for Chandrababu. He mentioned that the owners of liquor shops around the state sponsored for the Mini Mahanadu. He commented that it was Money mahanadu and not Mini Mahanadu. Ambati remarked that everybody had expected the development and the performance of the Government in the the last 2 years in the area of keeping its promises to be the agenda of Mahanadu but the Government had pushed everything aside with the whole agenda of blaming the opposition party and its president YS Jagan.
Ambati stated that it was ridiculous of CM Chandrababu to talk about discipline while disputes took place between the TDP leaders and the newly migrated MLAs in the Mahanadu. He mocked TDP by saying its discipline was well known to everybody. He questioned if discipline meant snatching MLAs from opposition parties. He suggested that Babu first learnt discipline instead of preaching to others. Ambati remarked that it was shameful of TDP to be unable to introduce any new welfare schemes over not realising any of the already made promises. He commented that TDP had looted a lot of public money for the past 2 years in the name of projects and in sand mafia and now it had resorted to snatch money from businesspeople in the name of Mini mahanadu, which was in fact, of no use to the people of the state.
Ambati condemned the comments made by Kala Venkat Rao comparing YS Jagan with King Nero and added that it would be clearly evident who King Nero was if carefully thought into. He mentioned that Chandrababu had demolished his house in Jubilee Hills and shifted to his farmhouse in Madinaguda. There he spent Rs.2 crore for renovation. He also quit that house and shifted to a 5 star hotel. Ambati questioned if YS Jagan was King Nero or Chandrababu who was spending crores of rupees of public money for his luxuries. He slammed Babu for staying in 5 star hotels while the state was suffering from financial deficit. He also mentioned his foreign trips on special flights and huge expenditures for renovation of illegally constructed houses.
Ambati remarked that Chandrababu was more keen on misusing public funds rather than making good use of them for the development of the state. He stated that Babu was more concerned about the wellbeing of his own family than that of the people of the state. He reminded how NTR had lived in a small cottage and stood as an ideal for the people.
Ambati confronted Chandrababu about passing GO for naming Kapu buildings and welfare schemes after himself and pretending not to have. He demanded resignation from Babu in such a case.
Ambati commented that Chandrababu finally applied political mark to intellectuals and spiritual figures too, citing the blame TDP had put on YS Jagan when Mudragada Padmanabham and Swamy Swarupananda had demanded for realisation of promises made to the people. He criticised that Chandrababu was trying to create disparities among Kapus by blaming Mudragada.

The leader who has gained a permanent place in people's hearts

  • A leader who considered people's problems as his
  • Seven years since his swearing in as CM for the second time
  • Implementation of welfare schemes in an unexpected manner
It is almost 7 years since the great leader has physically left us. He has gained fame as a farmer-friendly and poor class-friendly person. Not only did he offer assistance to the poor and the backward classes but also he aspired for every woman to become a millionaire. He swore in as the CM of AP for the second time on the 20th of May in 2009.

Moved by the people's problems
Having initiated Pada Yatra to inquire the wellbeing of general public and to know the problems of farmers facing drought, YSR was moved by the sad stories of debt-provocated suicides. This made him announce free electricity for farmers before 2004 elections and signed on the same file as soon as he swore in. That first signature remained historical. He implemented waiver of loans for farmers, relieving them from the huge burden of getting on with agriculture while being indebted.

lakhs of acres brought into cultivation
YSR has made the state properous by bringing lakhs of acres of dried up lands in the state under cultivation by initiating projects under the name 'Jala Yagnam'. He could provide irrigation water throughout the year to lakhs of acres in the state of AP through projects like Polavarm and Chevella-Pranahita. This pulled out lakhs of farmers out of misery and gave them strength to live. The farmers started to worship him as God.

Corporate treatment to the poor through Aarogya Shri
While many poor people were suffering from ailmets small and big to which they could not buy cure and giving up hope to live, he introduced Aarogya Shri scheme. This scheme extended the life span of many poor people all over the state. Over offering treatment free of cost, he also gave them charges to go back home. The poor people worshipped him for giving life to them and their families.

104..108 services
YSR arranged for health vehicles to reach the houses of the poor, terminally ill patients and pregnant women and arranged for health services right at their houses in all villages. Medicines were distributed for free. The services of 108 cannot be described in words. A call to 108 would arrange for service even for the slightest of accidents and health problems.

Houses for the poor
YSR provided shelter to the poor. Through schemes like Indiramma illu and Rajiv Swagruha, he arranged for houses to many people. He used to caution the officials from time to time to ensure implementation of these schemes with commitment. To make sure the poor were educated, he implemented fees reimbursement scheme, thus helping many poor people to get into high profile professions. He established IIITs and universities for every district to ensure good education for the poor class as well as the middle class.

Every woman has to be a millionaire
In order to fulfill his dream of seeing every woman as a millionaire, he offered loans for meagre interest. He sanctioned lakhs of crores of funds to DWCRA and encouraged self-employment. He gave assurance for old women through Abhaya Hasta. The welfare schemes implemented by YSR for the wellbeing of general public would have no end.
It is not an exaggeration to say that he still lives in the hearts of the Telugu-speaking people.

People are at disgust with corrupt Chandrababu

  • None of the election manifesto promises have been realized
  • Everything including the special status has been mortgaged at Delhi
  • Even your corrupt money cannot stop it from happening
  • Babu has to change his mindset: Srikanth Reddy
HyderabadYSRCP MLA Gadikota Srikanth Reddy complained that Chandrababu was carrying out tyrannical rule in the state. He stated that the world around was disgusted with his corruptive rule. He mentioned that the Telugu-speaking people around the world were at fury with the ongoing enticement and purchase of MLAs and party defection. He spoke during a media conference at the party’s central office in Hyderabad.
Srikanth Reddy criticised that Chandrababu was considering the issue of the capital city as if it was his own family affair. He opined that Chandrababu had not done as much good to the people as much he bluffed. He slammed Babu for stating that TDP leaders, activists and officials were being hindered from working in a democratic fashion, while actually encouraging the people who were disturbing democratic activities.
What happened to the loan waiver?
Chandrababu had mentioned in his election manifesto about waiver of farmers’ loans but had completely forgotten about it later, complained Srikanth Reddy. Waiver of loans of DWCRA women, a job for every household and many other promises had long been forgotten, he mentioned. But when the media had questioned him about them, he reprimanded them to learn to change their mindset. Srikanth Reddy condemned this behavior of Chandrababu.
Babu has to learn
Srikanth Reddy condemned counterattacks being made by TDP leaders on YSRCP for responsibly pointing out their mistakes, being the opposition party. He criticised that Chandrababu was giving importance to publicity instead of caring for making the schemes reach the deserving. He complained that Babu had not realized even one of the promises made prior to elections. He mentioned that Babu had mortgaged everything of the state including the special status to the centre. He expressed his concern for victimizing the people of the state for his own benefit. Srikanth Reddy remarked that it was neither the media nor the opposition that had to learn discipline, but it was Babu who had to. He condemned oppression of democratic rights.
Your conspiracies will not work in this area
Srikanth Reddy mentioned that Chandrababu could not move Rajya Sabha seats however hard he tried to conspire against YSRCP. He confided that YSRCP candidate Vijaya Sai Reddy would go to Rajya Sabha as a member. He mentioned that even if the TDP Government spent Rs.1 lakh crore of the corruptly earned Rs.1,40,000 crore, it would not be able to stop this from happening. He suggested that Babu should learn to respect at least now. Srikanth Reddy stated that some people might have migrated from YSRCP, but those with character and credibility still remained in it. He reminded that YS Jagan asked them to resign to their party when they had earlier gone to join YSRCP. He explained that they had not been greedy for their position at that time, so they had resigned and then joined YSRCP.

Babu has to make his new MLAs resign

  • Indifference towards AP’s pitiful situation
  • White paper should be released about Kapu funds
  • TDP’s miserable failure in administration: Botsa
Hyderabad: YSRCP’s senior leader Botsa Satyanarayana slammed Chandrababu for stating that the state had nothing to benefit from special status and uttering discouraging words like what we could do if the centre did not sanction the status, being in the responsible position of a CM. he reminded of the impending danger of drought for the state of AP if Palamuru-Rangareddy and Dindi projects launched by Telangana Government were completed. Botsa proclaimed that YSRCP had been performing its duty as the opposition party perfectly. He explained that TDP might have failed as the ruling party of the state but YSRCP had not failed as the opposition party. He spoke during the media conference arranged at the party’s central office in Hyderabad.

What is GO 16?
The GO 16 released by Babu would clearly reveal his selfish intentions. He ridiculed Babu’s stating that certain people were trying to create disparities among castes. He mentioned that Chandrababu had no commitment towards the Kapu community. Botsa reminded that Chandraabu had sworn in on the 8th of June and Mudaragada Padmanabham had written to him on the 21st of August and Babu had even since neglected the issue of Kapus. Manjunatha commission had been appointed in January and time limit to finalise the issue had been set as 7 months, among which 4 were already completed with no improvement seen. Botsa remarked that Babu had no right to talk about Kapu community.
He revealed that Rs.67 crore had been spent last year from the allocated Rs.100 crore. This year, Rs.1000 crore had been released but not even Rs.100 crore had been spent. He challenged Chandrababu to release a white paper about the funds allocated and spent for the Kapu community. He commented that Babu knew nothing but boasting and deception. He mentioned that it was usual to name a caste-specific building after a famous personality from the same caste but Babu had shamelessly got the Kapu building named after himself, thereby insulting the caste. He suggested Babu to stop such atrocities at least now.
What has he spoken to the PM?
Botsa reminded that even the Supreme Court had suggested to take steps in order to face the problem of drought. He informed that YSRCP had demanded Chandrababu to discuss the state’s special status, drought situation, water disputes, unemployment and Telangana’s unlawful projects when he met the PM on the 17th of this month. Still due to lack of commitment, Chandrababu had confined himself to making statements like the special status would offer no additional benefit to the state, revealed Botsa.
Democracy prevails irrespective of parties
Botsa explained that political parties may or may not be there but the Government and the democracy would prevail. He slammed Babu’s giving up on special status being in the responsible position of a Chief Minister. He criticised Babu himself was denying sanction of special status. He condemned Babu’s indifference towards the problems of drought, unemployment and scarcity of drinking and irrigation water in the state. He commented that everything Chandrababu did had some selfish intention behind it but not something for the people’s wellbeing. Botsa also remarked that Babu might soon introduce Heritage buttermilk, Heritage salt and Heritage pickles to the state.
The state has been mortgaged
Botsa demanded Chandrababu to announce his clear intention regarding Telangana projects failing which he cautioned that YSRCP would perform a fight on behalf of people. He complained that Babu had mortgaged the state for his own benefits. He proclaimed that neither TDP gained anything nor did YSRCP lose anything due to party defection. He dared Babu to make at least one of those MLAs resign and seek fresh mandate. He questioned why CBI inquiry had not been done even after the capital land mafia and Agrigold controversy were exposed along with proofs.
Care should be taken about Cyclone Roanu
Botsa suggested proper should be taken in light of the predictions about the severity of Roanu cyclone. He insisted that the Government took proper measures instead of confining to video conferences and advertisements, keeping in view the experiences from the past. He requested for protection of lives and assets by working sincerely without political greed.

Naming Kapu buildings after Babu?!

  • Change of tone after elections
  • What has happened to promises made to Kapus?
  • YSRCP official spokesman Ambati Rambabu
Hyderabad: YSRCP’s official spokesman Ambati Rambabu proclaimed that naming Kapu building after Chandrababu is a huge insult to the whole community. While there are many great leaders born in that community, how could Babu name it after himself, he questioned. He complained that TDP was announcing to be performing developmental activities in the state only to bluff people. He reminded the promises made to the community prior to elections including joining it in BC category and sanctioning Rs.5000 crore for its welfare. He mentioned that these promises had encouraged the people of the community to vote for Babu but now he had totally forgotten about them. He spoke in a media conference at the party’s central office in Hyderabad.
Government schemes or Babu’s schemes?
Ambati ridiculed naming the schemes even before they were begun giving examples of Chandranna swayam upadhi pathakam, Chandranna videsi vidya deevena, Chandranna vidyonnati, Chandranna kapu bhavanalu, Chandranna upakara vethanalu, Chandranna bhusara pareekshalu, Chandranna sankranthi kanuka, Chandranna beema and Chandranna haamee. He condemned Chandrababu’s obsession with naming the schemes after himself but not putting any of them to practice. He mentioned that none of the former chief ministers including Dr.YS Rajasekhar Reddy wanted to name their schemes after themselves. He reminded that Dr.YSR had introduced a number of schemes like Arogya Shree, Indiramma illu, 108 and pension schemes but had never named a scheme after himself.
Why Babu when there are many more great persons?
With so many famous people from Kapu community like Kodi Rammurthy Naidu, a prominent wrestler, Kannaganti Hanumanthu, a famous freedom fighter, SV Rangarao, a self-made prominent film actor, CK Nayudu, the first captain of Indian cricket team, great actress Savitri and Vangaveeti Mohana Rangarao being there, naming Kapu buildings after Chandrababu would be an insult to the whole community, exclaimed Ambati.
He revealed that Chandrababu had spent nothing for the community in 2014-15. Out of the promised Rs.96 crore in 2015-16, only Rs.70 crore had been spent. There had been no update about the promises made to the community, he stated. He mentioned that manjunatha commission had been appointed on January 18, 2016 on the issue of joining Kapu community in the BC category based on the letter written by Mudaragada Padmanabham on the 21st of August but there had been no sign of any work done by the committee yet. He blamed Babu for not forming Kapu corporations and not adding Kapus to BC category. He credited the formation of the committee to Mudragada Padmanabham and added that Chandrababu otherwise had no commitment towards the community or the promises made to it. Ambati remarked that not even Rs.100 crore had been spent out of the promised Rs.5000 crore. He demanded a white paper from Babu about the expenditure on the community. He proclaimed that Kapus had been demanding for the promises made to them and not expecting alms.
Don’t practice selfish politics
Ambati questioned how the funds donated by Kapu community could be given away as Government funds. He suggested Babu to realise that Kapus themselves had built the Kapu function hall in Srisailam. He asked Babu not to practice selfish politics insulting the community. He revealed that Babu had promised Rs.1 lakh loans and Rs.1 lakh subsidy to Kapus prior to elections but now brought the amount down to Rs.50,000, from which Rs.25,000 was subsidy and Rs.25,000 had to be paid to banks.
Resign before you speak, Bhuma
Ambati demanded income limit of BCs to be raised to Rs.2.5 lakh. He explained that they were facing hard time going around banks for Rs. 50,000. He dared Bhuma Nagireddy to resign. He complained that TDP leaders were focusing on criticising YS Jagan for whatever he did. He slammed them for passing unfair comments against YS Jagan for staging hunger strike for the benefit of the state.

Huge support to the strike staged by the people's leader

YS Jagan's 3-day Jala Deeksha comes to an end
Huge support to the strike staged by the people's leader

Slogans raised against unlawful projects

Kurnool: The Jala Deeksha launched by the leader of opposition and YSRCP president YS Jagan has ended on a triumphant note. The strike that was launched with the good intention of providing water to the people of the state has earned huge support. YSRCP activists, leaders and people reached Kurnool in solidarity to the strike. Various classes of the society including the farmers, the women, the students, the employed and the unemployed and various public organisations have extended their support to the agitation staged.

YS Jagan has greeted every person who has come to meet him during the 3-day strike with pleasant smile. On the other hand, agitations, protests and relay strikes have been held at mandal headquarters throughout the state by YSRCP leaders and activists in solidarity to the Jala Deeksha. At various centres, people voluntarily participated in the protests. They raised slogans in praise of YS Jagan for relentlessly fighting against their problems.

YS Jagan has held a 3-day Jala Deeksha at Kurnool against the failure of CM Chandrababu Naidu in preventing the construction of projects by Telangana Government. He aimed at waking up the dormant Government in direction of achieving the benefits of the state and protecting its rights and taking this issue to the notice of the centre. He has condemned the unlawful construction of projects on rivers Krishna and Godavari by Telangana Government without obtaining permissions.

YS Jagan exlained the impending danger to the state if Palamuru-Rangareddy and Dindi lift irrigation schemes were completed. He slammed the silence of Chandrababu's Government towards the ongoing atrocity and opined that the indifference was due to Chandrababu's fear for having to face inquiry in Note for Vote case. He condemned the mortgaging of the state's rights to the centre and to Telangana. YSRCP MLAs, MPs, MLCs and other leaders reached the venue of Jala Deeksha and expressed their solidarity to the event.

Speaking on this occasion, the leaders slammed Chandrababu's negligent attitude. They commented that Chandrababu had flown abroad to enjoy leaving the state to suffer, while YS Jagan was staging Jala Deeksha to protect people's right for water, even without caring for his health. They slammed Chandrababu Babu for exploiting the state's wellbeing for his own selfishness. The leaders called for the people of the state to unite and fight under the leadership of YS Jagan in the direction of achieving their rights.

We shall fight to achieve the state's rights

  • Honour of AP slaughtered by Babu
  • People of all classes deceived
  • YS Jagan has to become the CM if the state has to flourish: MLAs

PAC Chairman Buggana Rajendranath ReddyKurnool: MLA of Done constituency and PAC chairman Buggana Rajendranath Reddy ridiculed the idea of comparison of Chandrababu with Dr.YS Rajasekhar Reddy. He acclaimed YSR for earning a permanent place in people's hearts through his impartial rule and welfare schemes. Buggana spoke at the venue of Jala Deeksha launched by the leader of opposition and YSRCP president YS Jagan at Kurnool. He stated that Chandrababu had deceived everybody during his 9-year tenure. He explained that YSR had introduced fees reimbursement scheme and benefited many poor families spending lakhs of rupees, while Chandrababu had given just the basic tools for people in familial professions, thereby humiliating them.
Buggana criticised Chandrababu's Government's sanctioning only 1250 houses per constituency, as this would mean only 5 houses per village. The authority of these allocations also had been given to Janmabhoomi committees, complained Buggana. He reminded that YSR, on the other hand, had got good quality houses built for everybody who applied for. He also reminded how Chandrababu had talked low of agriculture while YSR had given high importance to it.
Buggana appreciated YS Jagan for staging Jala Deeksha for the sake of generations to come. Shameless purchase of MLAs

  • Rule immersed in corruption
  • Babu’s failure at all levels
  • YS Jagan’s uncompromising fight against people’s problems
Visweswar Reddy:
YSRCP MLA Visweswar Reddy mentioned that the Jala Deeksha taken up by the leader of opposition and YSRCP president YS Jagan for the benefit of the people of the state was giving shivers to the ruling party leaders. He slammed the Government for criticising for all the efforts he was putting for the state’s benefit, over not expressing solidarity to it. He remarked that while Chandrababu was staying indifferent to the unlawful projects being built in Telangana, YS Jagan had taken the initiative to fight against them. He stated that Chandrababu had bluffed all classes of people to get into power and had failed badly in satisfying them after attaining power. He specified that Chandrababu had failed miserably in getting special status for the state and for getting special package to the backward areas.
Visweswar Reddy mentioned the drought situated in Rayalaseema. He stated that people of many villages were migrating to other places in search of just a little water to drink. The farmers were committing suicide. He commented that none of these could bother Babu. He also added that Chandrababu had neither given jobs as promised nor kept the jobs of the employed. The employees who protested for hike in their salaries had been tyrannically oppressed. Agitation against people’s problems were being treated with dictatorship. The rights of labourers in the capital area had been suppressed. People had been deceived in all possible ways. To divert the people’s attention from all these issues, MLAs were being bought, remarked Visweswar Reddy. While the people of Kurnool laid their trust on YSRCP candidate and handed him over victory in elections, Chandrababu had unethically grabbed the candidate, he complained. He criticised the defectors for being too timid to fight against babu’s enticement and his unethical and undemocratic ways and for giving in to him. Visweswar Reddy proclaimed that the leader of opposition and YSRCP president YS Jagan had a great deal of people’s support as he was carrying out uncompromising fight with commitment for their benefit. He called for united fight in chasing away the corrupt rule of TDP.

Pratap Apparao remarked that people were questioning Chandrababu what he had done to them. He added that he gave them neither houses nor jobs nor water. He exclaimed that TDP Government was uprooting itself with its incapability. He complained that TDP was robbing lakes, sand and opposition MLAs too. Apparao warned the defectors that the people would not forgive them. He confided that the party would lose nothing from the defection of a few leaders and that they would come back and bow to YS Jagan after a while.

Babu’s compromise with KCR out of fear for punishment

  • TDP ministers have to stop blabbering at their will
  • TDP should prevent the projects if it has any commitment
  • They will have no place in history
  • Harish Rao’s provocative behavior is not good: Ambati
Kurnool: YSRCP’s official spokesman Ambati Rambabu advised the ministers of TDP to stop blabbering about the good intention of the leader of opposition and YSRCP president YS Jagan in his fight against the loss suffered by the people of AP. He slammed the statements of AP ministers Palle Raghunatha Reddy, Devineni Uma, Narayana and Ganta Srinivasa Rao as well as Telangana minister Harish Rao.

Ambati commented that the ministers, in spite of expressing solidarity to the struggle of YS Jagan for the wellbeing of the people of the state, were performing cheap political behaviour. He demanded to know why the ministers had not reacted first regarding the unlawful projects of Telangana. Ambati remarked that Chandrababu had entered into compromise with Telangana CM KCR out of his fear for having to face inquiry and punishment in Note for Vote case. He cautioned that the Government would have to face bitter consequences if YS Jagan’s agitation was to be disturbed or suppressed.

Ambati slammed Telangana minister Harish Rao for speaking in a provocative manner over building unlawful projects. He questioned if it was not true that Telangana Government was trying to illegally snatch the waters of Krishna and Godavari. He made it clear that YSRCP would not stay silent when Telangana tried to grab the waters deserved by the people of AP. He remarked that the ministers of TDP were speaking in an irregular manner. Ambati slammed them for trying to gain benefit from accusing YS Rajasekhar Reddy and YS Jagan. He challenged the ministers to try to show commitment and prevent the projects and save AP instead of putting efforts on passing comments on YSRCP. He cautioned that they would have no place in history if they tried to attain political benefit out of people’s suffering.

Jala Deeksa begins on a fiery note

Kurnool, May 16: YS Jagan Mohan Reddy’s Jala Deeksha began of a fiery note when he served a warning stating that the prophecy of future wars would be fought for water will become a reality if KCR continues his dictatorial attitude in plugging our share of water from his advantageous upstream position and drawing water indiscriminately.

Addressing a massive gathering at the Jaladeeksha Pranganam on the inaugural day of the three day Deeksha, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy here on Monday he said; ‘ KCR government has been indiscriminately drawing water from Krishna and Godavari rivers through lift irrigation depriving Andhra Pradesh of its share, while Chandrababu Naidu has been dumb and deaf and it is time to take up the issue with the right earnest and all Telugu speaking people should join hands and get the rightful share from upper riparian states of Karnataka and Maharashtra on the first count and the division of water shares between Andhra Pradesh and Telangana was not done by any Authority.

Unmindful of the plight of lower riparian state, Telangana government has been going ahead with its irrigation projects many of them have no permission, on Krishna and Godavari rivers as they flow from that state in to Andhra Pradesh thereby squeezing our water resources which would turn the state into a desert.

Chandrababu Naidu has surrendered and never dares to question KCR and the people of the state have to join hands and fight for the rightful share among the four states of Maharashtra, Karnataka, Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.
Tensions that run along the line of control are likely to replicate along state borders on water disputes and the prophecy of Veera brahmendra swamy that the future wars will be fought for water would come true if corrective measures are not taken up now, the Leader of Opposition said.

KCR’s contention that Telangana should get  900 TMC of the 1480 TMC of water to the united Andhra Pradesh has no basis and is not a written law and it should be contested as the lower state of Andhra Pradesh will be parched for water, he said.
Giving a detail view of the projects on Krishna and Godavari, he said projects were built on Krishna River to store 1750 TMC of water while unofficially nearly 3,000 TMC of water is being stored of which Maharashtra and Karnataka account for 1,300 TMC. Water flows only after the needs of the two upper riparian states including Alamatti and Narayanpur are fulfilled.

In the present scenario, Telangana government has been plugging the Krishna water at Mahbubnagar itself by drawing 120 TMC of water through Palamuru-Ranga Redy and Dindi lift irrigation projects and Chandrababu Naidu has no guts to raise the issue.
Earlier, it was the height of Kalwakurthi project which was increased from 25 TMC to 40 TMC and Chandrababu Naidu never raised the issue and asks his Telangana counterpart as to why he has been drawing 30,000 cusecs per day.
Unless the reservoir level of 854 feet is maintained at Srisailam, Rayalaseema will not get water but KCR has marked the intake point at 800 feet and has been drawing water indiscriminately and there is no one to question him.
From Srisailam to Nagarjunasagar then to Krishna delta flows the water but the with indiscriminate drawing of water in Telangana state the four districts of Rayalaseem along with Nellore Prakasam, Guntur and Krishan along with Nalgond and Khammam are also at a severe loss and Chandrababu Naidu has courage and words to stop this exercise.
Even in the past, Chandrababu Naidu has shown his true colours by reducing the draw-down line at Srisailam and it was only after YSR had come to power that the 854 feet was re-fixed as the limit. If Rayalaseema should get water, the minimum level to be maintained at Srisailam should be kept at 854 feet. This cannot be possible if KCR continues his pursuit by drawing water keeping the intake point at 800 feet and these projects do not have any permission.
We can firmly state that the projects being pursue by Telangana government has no permission as the State Reorgansiation Act mentions of only Hundri-Neeva, Telugu Ganga, Galeru-Nagari, Veligonda, Kalwakurthi and Nettampadu projects.
There is no mention of Palamuru-Ranga Reddy or Dindi projects. The State Reorganisation Act clearly mentions that any new project should have the clearance of Central Water Commission (CWC), concerned River Boards and the Apex Council.
KCR citing a very old letter of asking for a feasibility reports does not permit Telangana to build the projects and draw waters indiscriminately, he said.
When it comes to Godavari, Kaleswaram, Devadual, Tupakulagudem, Sitarampur, Baktaramdasu lift irrigation projects are coming up and there is no resistance from Chandrababu Naidu.
A study of water level at Godavari states that water is available from June to mid October and later it starts receding fast and if KCR starts drawing more and more water upstream, acute water shortage is in store, he said.
In 2011 we held a dharna with 26 MLA against the Brijesh Kumar Tribunal and demanded that the water sharing should be equal and every drop should be accounted for.
‘It is time that we unite and fight for the equal sharing of water and in the course the KCR and Chandrababu Naidu should also join and get our share from Maharashtra and Karnataka and the water should be distributed evenly and there should be review meetings periodically,’ he said.
The Telangana government should consider the plight of the lower state of Andhra Pradesh and stop illegal drawing of waters taking advantage of his geographic location. (EOM)
